MeKayla Pierre is a writer and photographer who captures stories rooted in fashion, music, travel, and culture. A graduate of Howard University, she earned her B.A. in Media, Journalism, and Film Communications, with a concentration in digital journalism.

Throughout her career, MeKayla has explored a wide range of roles across the media and communications landscape, including digital and broadcast journalism, public relations, public affairs, and marketing. She has contributed as a writer, photographer, editor, and creative director to publications such as 101 Magazine, Cover 2 Cover Magazine, Howard University News Service, and Afro News.

MeKayla’s unique perspective is shaped by her upbringing as a second-generation Haitian-American, a military kid, and the daughter of a free-spirited Sagittarius. Her travels and multicultural experiences deeply influence her storytelling and creative vision, bringing a diverse lens to her work.
