A Reflection on Visual Journalism

March 8, 2022

With the halfway point of the semester now behind us, I’ve had enough time to get a good impression of my Visual Journalism course. In my second vlog entry, I reflect on the assignments I’ve completed so far and the changes I’ve noticed in the quality of my work. My range of skills has expanded beyond what I thought possible before this course, and that much is evident in this very portfolio.

Not only that but there’s also been a shift in how I view myself as a creator. Most notably, the increase in confidence that I feel now that I’ve seen the kind of work I can produce with nothing but my phone. Looking back on what I’ve done in the past two months, I feel a lack of imposter syndrome when I think about what I’m capable of in the future. To hear more about my experiences with this course so far, watch my vlog entry below.
